What Happens after you Submit Your Claim?

Your claim will be processed within 3 working days from receiving your claim. Keep in mind that postage and bank clearance times can take a couple of working days.

If you have submitted a claim for services you have already paid for, you can choose to have your benefit paid by:

  • Direct Debit – we’ll deposit money into your nominated bank account

If you’ve submitted a claim to pay for services you have not paid for, we’ll send the payment directly to your service provider. Make sure you submit your claim as soon as possible so we can pay the bill on time.

Other things you should know

Waiting periods may apply:

A waiting period is the time you need to wait after purchasing your policy and before you can claim. You cannot claim for medical treatment that is provided during the waiting period. This means that you will need to pay for all expenses for the treatment.

Carefully review your policy to ensure you are aware of the different waiting periods.

You may incur out-of-pocket or gap fees:

You may incur an out-of-pocket fee (known as a gap fee) if the amount the service provider charges is more than the benefit you’re entitled to under your cover. You’ll need to pay the gap fee yourself and won’t be able to claim that amount. We recommend you call your service provider to get an idea of what it will cost you.
